"Dave, just finish up with the hit an' run cow thing, I'm takin' care of this."
Putting up the radio, Bill pulls on his cap and gets out of his cruiser.
He listens out for any trouble while heading up the front walk, but isn't going to do anything until he checks in with the old lady, first.
Hard lesson learned.
After knocking on the door, Bill takes a step back and announces himself; ready for anything.
"Mrs. Freeda? It's sheriff Bill Pardy, respondin' to the call you put in."
