[ "how do you feel about wings?" ]Raylan wipes the last of the grease from his fingers and crumples the paper napkin.
With a lazy toss, he nails the nearby wastebasket.
He reaches for his glass of sweet iced tea, and his eyes slide from what's left of their dinner to Reese.
"Got a verdict yet?"
no subject
"It did, you know," she murmurs, dwelling back on his earlier words.
"Go where I wanted it to."
no subject
"That's good news," he says, laconic as can be. "I was waitin' for you to drop-kick me."
no subject
"Maybe I can still make that happen."
no subject
His fingertips draw light figure-eights over the small of her back.
no subject
She tilts her head to press a kiss to his neck.
no subject
"I knew you were a dangerous woman."
no subject
She loses a little of her formidableness in her current position, splayed over him without a stitch of clothing on.
no subject
"How's this break treatin' you so far?"
no subject
"What do you think?"
no subject
no subject
She shifts off him, curling up along his side.
no subject
"Then I'll be right back."
no subject
"I'll be here."
no subject
Extending an arm to draw her close, he gives her a half-smirk.
"This is your big chance to drop-kick me, you know. You've got me defenseless."
Not to mention naked.
no subject
She snuggles up to him, fingers tracing invisible shapes and patterns over his skin.
"I like the sound of that."
no subject
"You know what I like the sound of?"
no subject
The sound comes out in the form of a sigh, as she shifts lazily along his hip.
"What's that?"
no subject
no subject
She cranes her head in the direction of the room phone.
"Want to order in?"
no subject
"I meant in the mornin', but if you've worked up an appetite already ... "
no subject
"God, no. After those wings, I'm done."
no subject
"You're lucky I'm not taking notes for future interrogations."
A beat.
"Or maybe I am."
Then, thoughtfully, "Subject shows signs of diminished capacity in response to exceptional fried chicken."
no subject
She glances up at him, one eyebrow curiously arching as her lips curve into a teasing grin.
"Really. I'd love to know what you think you could haul me in for."
no subject
"Indecent exposure."
no subject
"Even if you were in the same position?"
